DUAL ENROLLMENT - COLLEGE EXPRESS

South Texas College allows eligible high school students to enroll in college courses while attending high school and permits them to take courses in place of, or in addition to the normal course load at their high school in the Dual Enrollment - College Express program. High school junior and senior students are eligible to participate in this program and to receive college credit. Students admitted to the program must meet the same requirements as all other college students. College credit earned upon successful completion of the course may be applied towards an associate degree at STC or may transfer to other colleges and universities.

Duel Credit is a program designed for currently enrolled high school students who can earn college credit for certain high school courses from selected approved high school sites.

WHO IS IT FOR?

Currently enrolled high school juniors and seniors.

WHEN CAN I APPLY?

Enrollment is availiable every semester by contacting the office of Collaborative Projects at
collaborative.projects@harlingen.tstc.edu

WHAT DO I NEED TO APPLY?

Duel Credit students must have all the following:

• application for Admission
• Official High School Transcript (partial transcript while attending highschool)
• Official Final Transcript (upon high school gradution with class rank and graduation date)
• Collaborate Projects Dual Credit Registration Permit (available from high school counsler)
• Individual Approval/Exceptional Admission Form
• Submit passing TASP scores in the content area required for the dual-credit course or proof of TASP exemption.
• Limit the number of courses taken in accordance with state regulations.
